I had planned to get to the ship via train, Nathan however said we are getting a taxi, no way would we manage with our bags on a train, I had no objections at all. What can we say about the taxi's, Nathan wanted me to video the inside of the cab he was impressed with everything, and the driver was fantastic. We pulled up and boy was that line long.
The lines were long and the patience I packed may have been just enough for the both of us. I had managed to get us the earliest boarding group, I would hate to have been in the later groups.
The process was very organised in true Japanese style, documents were checked, all the documents to get into Canada and USA were checked, although this was not the clearance to get in, but you had to prove that the paperwork was done because once we are on the way clearance at these points would be as you arrive and that was on the other side of the ocean.

The smiles say a lot, these smiles were only after we had dropped our essential carry-on stuff, gone through the process of getting our emergency drill sorted by getting to our muster station and then making sure our bookings for dinner, the Spa and everything else was sorted, cabins are usually not ready until after mid-day all that was left to do was explore the ship, have a bit of lunch and enjoy the first of many drinks of our cruise.

I have eaten at this dining venue on the NCL Star and wanted to bring both the cow and the chef home. Was an amazing steak, apparently, they are all at the same standard across the fleet, so what better way to start the cruise.
