Half day of tours today, checking out of the cruise and on to visit The Valley of the Kings, The Valley of the Queens, an alabaster making store and the temple of Queen Hatshepsut.
At the valley of the Kings I was able to visit 3 of the tombs, to be able to take photo's there was an additional cost to purchase a ticket that allows photo taking, which of course I did. I had a couple of people saying they wish they brought a ticket, there were guides inside that were keeping an eye on people that were taking pictures, those that were caught without the ticket had the guide go through their camera and delete the pictures taken within any of the temples. I purchased an extra ticket to visit the Sety 1 Tomb, what can I say it was well worth it, no pictures could be taken in here it was the best preserved temple that I have seen the colours were amazing. The valley of the queens was disappointing as most of the tombs had been raided, I did get to go into 2 tombs. After touring around Radwan took me to a restaurant that was the highlight of my tour so far. I had the best meal since I had arrived in Egypt here, sitting up on the top deck of the restaurant "Snack Time" |
