The day has come......
It is seven in the morning and our suitcases are on the bed and empty. The mental list has come together and fallen apart. I at least have all our documents and everything I think we will need between now and landing, laid out on the table, I am hoping it will fit in one bag. Time for my third coffee for the day and to get moving... |
Well we are at the airport, got here 8:03 pm, just past the 8pm mark, I was prepared for us to get to the airport by 7pm, thank you Aaron for being our chauffeur it was really appreciated.
We had a bit of a moment when checking in (maybe more than a bit of a moment), Nathan's passport would not scan, it kept coming up as invalid, 2 swipes of the passport and the lady decided to see if mine worked, possibly to check that her machine was working, yep I was all good, 2 swipes later of the passport and yay it worked, phew, I was thinking I was going alone, for the time it took for Nathan to get his passport organised and the hiccups of signing we were grateful of it working. We have settled in to the fantastic chairs at the airport, can you hear the sarcasm? No chance of us dozing off and missing our flight. Nathan agreed to a selfie with both of us while we were waiting in line to check in, two hours later the enthusiasm of the impending flight had gotten to us, so no selfie yet, but a sneaky reflection. Well it's going to be a long night...... |
