Today we checked out of Knysna Hollow and headed towards Cape Town, another long drive with a few quick stops in between. Including the Bartholomeu Dias Museum at Mossel Bay and an Aloe Vera factory. We discovered a baked roll in one town, that was very nice, (please anyone on our trip can let me know what the was it would be appreciated, I did write it down but the paper has been lost). Craig was giving us updates on the conditions of Table Mountain and the likelihood of us getting up there. We finally made it to Cape Town and Table Mountain was open for us to go up, so we traveled up on the cable cars, and spent some time up there, after some photo opportunities and some interesting poses, we went into "The Shop at the Top", there was a fire place in the shop so Nathan happily stood in front of it while I looked around and helped out the local economy. It took longer to get down than to get up, only because everyone was wanting to get down at the same time due to closing.
We then ended up at a Diamond and Tanzanite shop, where yet again some of us contributed to the economy, some much more than others, we finally reached the Hotel around 8 pm and decided to go for our final supper as this was the last time we would all be together, Sorry Kathy, I didn't get you in the picture, but then that makes you and I not there. What an amazing group to travel with.... |
