Early start today as the trip to Hurghada is by road. This was uneventful with the exception of realising I had left my necklace behind in the hotel, that was just after we went through the Hurghada checkpoint. The guys from Ask Aladdin were straight on to it and contacted the hotel, by the time they left there was no word from the Hotel, fingers crossed I see it again.
Once I had all settled in I headed down to wait to be picked up for the Quad bike safari, the advise on the documents is to wait inside the lobby to be picked up, I noticed a 4wd had been outside for a while with a guy standing near it, after waiting for a while I decided to see if this was for me, as I walked toward him he leant into his car and pulled out a sign "Get Your Guide" he had been waiting for me. So I piled into the back of the 4wd and looked around and said "anyone speak English" they all did, which really surprised me. This was an unexpected surprise, I was expecting a short 20 minute quad bike ride and a camel ride etc, nope we were on the quads riding into the sunset for at least an hour, the camel ride was less than ten and the meal provided was pretty much like what was available all over Egypt except they served Coke not Pepsi. We then rode the quads back with our headlights on in the dark, I would really recommend this to anyone going. |
Take an adventure into the East Desert. Live the Bedouin life on this trip to Sahara Park, where you can combine adventure with the wonders of the desert. Ride a quad bike and a camel, enjoy a Bedouin dinner and entertainment, and marvel at the sunset!
