After our Shark dive and the dive we were ready to start the first leg of our journey home. We were fortunate to be able to get an upgrade on one of our flights, unfortunately it was only the two hour flight. Part of checking in was to have our baggage sent through to Perth without us having to collect it in Johannesburg. The worrying thought of "will our bags make it to Perth on the same flight as us" did cross our minds, but with flying 1st class they put a priority sticker on or bags so it was fingers crossed all would be good. While sitting in the business lounge we looked at our flights to Perth and discovered that the time of our flight to Perth had changed from the original booking, we had lost an hour, so we had showers at the airport in Cape Town, where we had planned to have them in Johannesburg.
We had a very comfortable flight, but when we landed we ended up going down a set of stairs and put on a bus and driven for about 10 min's to the terminal, great even less time to get to our connecting flight. As we entered the terminal Nathan asked for directions which were simple go up one flight of stairs turn left and keep on going, we got up those stairs turned left and started to walk, I spotted a sign that pointed upstairs so I convinced Nathan that we needed to follow the signs, we followed those signs that then sent us down one flight of stairs which then put us back on the level I had seen the up sign. We got where we needed to in the end. What can I say about the flight from Joburg to Perth, is probably what everyone says about long haul flights, no need to say more. |
