We have the option to lie in or take an optional morning boat cruise (own account) or simply soak up the atmosphere in the small tourist town of St Lucia before heading off later in the morning towards Durban. An orientation tour introduces us to this multicultural, vibrant seaside city before arriving at our hotel in the late afternoon.

5:30 wake-up call, and yet again we were awake before the call. Breakfast over and done with we left for St Lucia around 7:15. We hopped on the boat for a river cruise with the anticipation of seeing Crocodiles, Hippos and a range of bird life, the Crocs were pretty elusive and popped under the water as soon as someone said "crocodile", but we did see two lying on the river bank off in the distance, we were not disappointed on the Hippo front, we saw quite a few families of Hippo's, though we missed out on capturing a Hippo yawn picture. We did get to see a small, and I managed to get it on video, which is a bonus. We travelled down the coast to Durban, once in Durban we went up to the top of the soccer stadium that that was built for the world cup, brilliant view of the city up there, my fear of heights was only noticeable to Nathan, we then went to the botanical gardens where I captured the waterfall picture above. We then went to our hotel. There is a huge shopping centre opposite the hotel, we don't depart until 10 am tomorrow, I might get the chance to have a look around, maybe without Nathan....
