We broke camp, 
​Tonight we were going to be free camping.
​Off to Hancock and Weano Gorges we went Class 4 and Class 5, I was about to tackle my first class 5 hike.  We were advised by other hikers that these gorges were going to require a spider like climb, tight and needing to hold on to both sides while going over water.
Down we went, we reached the bottom and then along we went.  At one point a group in front of us stopped, they had a tour guide and he was getting them to change into reef shoes and leave anything that you did not want to get wet to remain at this location. so we took his advise and proceeded on. ​
From this point on we only had the camera I was wearing taking video footage.
​This hike was worth doing, we came to a section where it was a bit hard for my short legs to reach, the water was flowing through and the rocks were slippery, my shoes did me no good and I slid down once down I decided getting up was too much effort so I stayed on my bum and slid for a way.  
We made it to Kermit's Pool at the end, some sections there was a choice to either scramble around the rock ledges or swim, I thought swimming fully clothed would be much easier (and cooler).
Our way back was much more eventful, the sections I slid down on, I had to climb up while I was wet and the rocks very slippery.
I had many falls but one spectacular fall, out in the open where many people saw and came to my rescue.  I went down big time, The pic of the sky is a frame of what the camera saw.
All I could think while I was down was "I am going to be that person that needs to be airlifted out", my right knee and hip copped the brunt of the fall.  Nathan as usual in a very caring way called me a klutz, (again).

Somehow we managed to make it out of the gorge without any more falls.  It was time to call it a day and go set up camp, no more gorges were to be hiked today.

​The location of tonight's camp site was a truck parking bay, google maps does show it well.

Free camping, no bays, no camp fees, no toilets/showers etc...
​Find a spot with space for the group and far enough away from others
Dinner was cooked up in the camp oven
