The plan for today was to pack up see more gorges and then head to Karijini Eco Resort for 2 nights with dinner at the restaurant which has great reviews ........ This however was not the case, we had found out the day before that there was a burst waterpipe and water to the resort was being brought in by tanker and waiting for parts which, in the middle of nowhere parts arriving takes time.

We packed up camp, I got my drone out and flew it around.  Then we headed off to Hammersley Gorge, a bit of a drive to get there as it was on the other side of Karijini, but was a short walk down to the water and some of us went for a swim.​

After that we travelled further around the other side of the park and found a nice place to have lunch.  Not far from the FMG trainline.  The views from the drone were amazing.

After an hour or so there of we went to The Karijini Eco Retreat to find out the situation about the water.  Would we still be able to have showers?  Was the restaurant open?  After discussions with staff there we found out there was still water for showers but due to the requirements of the restaurant for water that was closed, we could still enjoy a simple menu of hamburgers and the like but no fancy stuff, we were also told that if we wanted to cancel the second night due to the water shortage to let them know and a refund would be given.  We decided to have a good chat about it and let them know when we came back for dinner.

The tent was very spacious and were not what I expected, we unpacked what we needed and all took turns at heading to the showers, only one shower for the females and one for the males so we had to wait for each other to finish before the next we in.  The first hot/decent shower of the trip, was hard to get out of but had to to conserve water for other visitors t the camp but I came out felling cleaner than I had for a long time, hair washed and smelling fresh, 
By the time we were all done the sun was setting and off to the restaurant we went.  

Dinner was disappointing but I think that was because of what we had been anticipating.  So we sat and ate and made our decision to only stay the one night and head off in the morning to Port Hedland and beyond.  Hoping our hot water system would be there when we got there.

Back at the "tent" we sat around and played cards again.  Tonight we would be sleeping in beds, Nathan and I got the bunks him on top and me below.
