Today our journey continues towards the Cape. Visit the Tsitsikamma Forest, which provides scenic walking opportunities. A short walk to the Storms River Mouth offers some magnificent views of the gorge and river below. Arrive in Knysna in the late afternoon.

We woke today to rain, and lots of it.  We headed off for an easy day in other words only short distance to travel.  We had a short stop at the Storms River Mouth and then on to Tsitsikamma Forest, where we walked to the suspension bridge.  The walk to the suspension bridge should take about an hour round trip, at the start of the walk there is a notice of indemnity.  "This facility/area that you are entering may involve natural and man-made risks, dangers and hazards", the man-made risks was the stairs, very sturdy and only one section with a warning of the steps being steep.  It was the amount of stairs to the bridge and out again, if you can imagine being on a stair stepper for an hour you might be close to realising what it was like, but it was worth the effort.  We stayed in the area for about two hours, having lunch there as well, note to anyone ordering prawns in South Africa, they butterfly them and in today's meal deep fried them too, with the shells and heads on.  We then proceeded to Knysna, pronunciation of the name has the K as silent, and did a bit of shopping, we found a very nice statue of a cheetah, which for a while we contemplated purchasing, the only way we would be able to get it home was to have it shipped from here to Perth, 14kg's of weight.  R15,000 (ZAR) all up landed in Perth.  Nathan nearly but the bullet but the bus was due to leave.  We proceeded on to Knysna Hollow our home for two nights. ​
